We really appreciate everything you have done for us. We know that we have let you down many times, and we're sorry. How are you people doing? Ok, i don't really have much to say, but i'm trying my best to keep this blog alive (:

Maybe, i'll just tell you all about UK humanites trip which i participated in in June, 31st may-10th June.

So, we gathered at changi airport at around 10plus and waited for teachers to clear admin stuff with the travel agent before group check in. After managing to check in and clear immigration, we were supposed to take temp. and report in the middle of changi airport terminal 1 (while doing that, the teachers were trying to take photos of us with thermometers sticking out of our mouths). After that, group photo, almost all the parents wanted to take a photo of us, so we posed for a full 5 minutes. Our jaws were aching when we finally entered the departure lounge and roam around for around 45 mins, we didn't buy much anyway because by then, it was alrd 1+ am.

Got onto the plane and were "forced" to sleep, although most of us ate supper and later breakfast in the plane. Arrived at Dubai 6h 45 mins later, transited for 2h and reboarded the plane for another 6h 25 mins to Gatwick airport, London. It was around 10am local time when we boarded this local bus to bring is to our field studies centre. Along the way, somehow the door of the luggage compartment opened, spilling 2 luggages. Poor bus driver and mdm Faridah had to walk all the way back (we were going quite fast) to fetch those luggages. The rest of the journey went without incident and we soon arrived at the mill we were staying in. It was cool (22 deg cel) and we were assigned small rooms within the mill.

Basically, the mill doesn't have shower facilities so we walk 2 mins to the bath house and report for breakfast at 8am local time, after which "school" starts at 8.30am and ends around 8-9pm. We did the "O Level Geography Syallbus" down there so it wasn't easy-going.

Suffolk( where we were) and london are 8h behind, but its still bright at 9.30 pm local time.

First day there, did orienteering, mapwork, got to roam around the area and see sheep (at 9pm, when its still as bright as it is at 5pm in Singapore)

Second day, went down to a coast to do fieldwork and back to the classroom to interpret data.

Third day, natural veg and coppicing.

Fouth and most enjoyable day, rivers (it was fun getting wet).

After that boarded a coach back to London and visited musuems, stonehenge and various attractions for 3 days.

8th June: boarded flight back to Sgp, however flight was delayed for 5 hours due to a radar problem so instead of getting back on 9th June, we were delayed and got back on 10June 2am singapore time.

I really really enjoyed myself in UK. Any of you went overseas??
